Preparation for Photos
OUTSIDE: Remove vehicles, trash cans, recycle bins, etc. from the driveway and front of the house. Sweep driveway, walkways, porches, patios, and decks. Remove hoses, sprinklers, garden tools, children toys. Mow the lawn; trim back shrubs/bushes from walkways and doors; remove weeds from flower beds and around shrubs/bushes.
INSIDE: Open window coverings (curtains, drapes, sheers, blinds) to let in as much natural light as possible. Of course, if the view out a window is not pleasing, leave those coverings closed. Turn off ceiling fans moving fan blades just look like a blur in the photos. If time and budget permits have windows professionally cleaned. Clean windows let in more light than dirty windows. Consider removing window screens as well. Make sure all light fixtures have the proper type of bulbs, do not mix fluorescent and incandescent bulbs. Replace any burnt-out bulbs. Eliminate as much clutter as possible, including children toys, clothing, piles of newspapers/magazines, trash cans, floor mats, etc. Remove anything from the floor that does not belong on the floor. Remove toiletries and other personal items from bathroom counters; close toilet lids; remove/replace old or dirty towels, washcloths, bath rugs, etc. Make all beds neatly (avoid wrinkles, lumps, etc.); clear dressers of personal items. If your childs bedroom has his/her name spelled out on the wall or otherwise visible, you may wish to remove it. If removal is not feasible, be sure to alert me and I will attempt to edit it out from the final photos. At your computer workstations, stow or unplug dangling cables/wires; clear papers. Straighten up and/or remove items from bookcases. In the kitchen, remove most, but not all, items from the counters. Items that can be left out might include decorative canisters, a colorful bowl or platter, no more than one countertop appliance. You want it to be uncluttered, but not sterile. Items to remove or hide from view include dish towels, pet dishes, trash cans. Remove everything (magnets, pictures, calendars, etc.) from the outside of the refrigerator. Lone Star Visuals will not move anything in the home including furniture. Please be sure to have your home prepared ahead of time for the shoot.
Terms & Conditions
Appointment Policies: Please be sure the property is ready before the scheduled appointment, to ensure the best results. By proceeding, you agree to the readiness expectations and policy, which means you agree that the home will be ready to photograph and video on the schedule time and date you have selected. This includes working with the builder and seller to ensure the home is photo and/or video ready.
Lone Star Visuals does not handle any of the prep for the readiness of the property, including but not limited to, cleaning or moving of furniture for liability purposes.
Payment/Late Fees: We like our clients to view the photos before paying. Our automated system allows viewing of watermarked photos before paying and automatically removes this watermark as soon as the balance is settled. You may choose to have a credit or debit card on file to pre-pay for services before viewing the product. Payments are due within 1 week our service is provided. Payments will be charged a $25 late fee per week the invoice is overdue. We will not provide services for an agent until invoice(s) are paid, after 14 days of an unpaid balance.
Time/Weather/Cancelation: Lone Star Visuals does not charge cancellation or rescheduling fees, especially due to weather. Please note, Lone Star Visuals cannot provide drone services during rain and windy conditions. The turnaround time for photos is next business day, and the turnaround time for videos is within 1-5 business days. There is a $50 fee for expedited photos less than 24-hours. Next day video delivery is available at a fee of $100. However, Lone Star Visuals may not always be able to provide this service. Please contact us prior to shoot to confirm if we are able to rush edit your video.
Travel Cost: Lone Star Visuals does not charge a travel fee within the Waco, Temple, Killeen area. A $50 fee will be charged for extended areas, but it is not guaranteed to cover every area. This may be confirmed by typing the address into the order field to check for the travel charges.
Video Post-Editing: Lone Star Visuals walk-through videos follow a certain format; beginning with drone footage, then a property walk-through, with music. Please specify in the comments section if another format is preferred. If revisions are needed after delivery, a re-editing fee of $35 will be added to the invoice if edits to a video have been finalized from the Lone Star Visuals team.
Photo Rights and Usage: The original agent who paid for this service has permission to use these images on any electronic or printed form of advertisement for the promotion of that property. The licensing agreement is valid only for the duration the home/property is listed for sale and cannot be reused without specific written permission.
Images cannot be sold to another agent who takes over an expired or withdrawn listing, as the purchasing agent does not own the photographs, but rather the right to use them during the specific term the property is for sale. The purchasing agent may reuse photos if the property is temporarily removed from the market. Lone Star Visuals must be contacted if photos and videos are in use by another real estate agent due to a loss or withdrawn of an expired listing that cannot be assumed by a new agent.
Only the client has permission to use the delivered photos and videos on any electronic or printed forms of advertisement for the promotion of the listing. Builders, stagers, designers, or third parties who wish to use photos or videos owned by Lone Star Visuals must contact the team directly for licensing and fees. Lone Star Visuals asks that photos and videos not be heavily altered once delivered, for image integrity and quality control. Re-sizing images are allowed by the agent/client.
Photo & Video Usage: Videos and photos produced by Lone Star Visuals may be uploaded to any social media or MLS listing services by the client, solely for the promotion of the listing during the pendency of this agreement. Regardless of any terms and conditions of the MLS, at no time does this agreement provide the right to transfer copyright or any other exclusive rights as provided by the Copyright Act 17 U.S.C 106.
Work Product Ownership: Any copyrightable works, ideas, discoveries, inventions, products, or other information (collectively, the work product) developed in part or whole by Lone Star Visuals is the exclusive property of Lone Star Visuals.
Lone Star Visuals reserves the right to use photos and videos for advertising, display, publication, or other purposes. All photos, samples, videos, and proofs remain the exclusive property of Lone Star Visuals unless waived by an amendment to this agreement. If any unauthorized use of photos and videos is a copyright violation and will result in the termination of this contract.
Severability: If one or more of the provisions contained in the Agreement is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. Provisions shall be revised only to the extent necessary to make them enforceable.
